Born 5-12-64 at King County Hospital in Seattle, WA, David was adopted in Seattle at age 3-1/2. He doesn't remember much of his pre-adoption life nor his name at birth; his female adopter, now 86, is in a nursing home. AmFOR referred him to a volunteer confidential intermediary who opened his adoption records. Unfortunately, David's mother, who is of Scandinavian ancestry, died before he could locate her, but with the help of confidential intermediary searcher, Darlene Wilson, his adoption record was opened... and his father, who is of English ancestry, is living and willing to correspond. David also learned that he has a brother & sister who he has contacted & welcomes any other outside contacts.

He attended high school & obtained his GED from High Line Community College in Des Moines, WA. A carpenter by trade, David also trained as an electrician. He plans to work in construction upon release. He enjoys chess, basketball, & is studying for pastoral ministry via Harvest Bible University in Los Angeles. He has also enjoyed cooking, gardening, hiking, camping, poetry, playing chess & describes himself as 6'4", 245 lbs, Caucasian, Blond hair with a few grays, Blue eyes, a "hopeless romantic who cries at sad movies & believes in forgiveness, compassion, mercy & grace."

David has been serving a 9-year sentence for multiple counts of drug-related crimes including Grand Theft & Forgery; earliest Parole date is January 2007 to San Bernardino County, CA.

In one of his letters to AmFOR, David wrote:

"Thank you for your patience & self-sacrifice in behalf of incarcerated adoptees.... I fully intend to pay full restitution to all who I've harmed if at all possible.... I wish I had someone who looked at my heart & could see the love I have to offer & not judge me on my past but on my future...I'm sorry I don't have a photo available at this time but will try to obtain one."
