Born 6-17-61 to Anna Marie Massow, in Furth Byron, Germany, Jim was adopted 1963 by Evon Charron & Leigh Munro, Michigan. Jim is believed to have been wrongly convicted when he was 18, for one of the "Freeway Murders" -- serial killings of male hitchhikers. The murders were actually committed by William Bonin (who has been executed) but Jim claims that he was one of Bonin's victims, and was made to participate in one of the murders & disposal of the body, under threat of death. AmFOR submitted Jim's case to the Innocence Project of San Diego but the Innocence Project had to refuse the case as they cannot take on cases where the defendant had any participation in the crime, wilingly or unwillingly. Once a person is convicted, he must prove his innocence or prove court error in order for an appeal to succeed. Jim's story will be included in the new edition of "Chosen Chilrden" which will be available via this website.

Jim's now-elderly adopters cut off communication with him. Jim's "birth" mother is in Germany and so is also out of touch with him. Jim welcomes any outside contacts.
